That would be a bug related

That would be a bug related to computer programming, so not related to winning this thread?

"... uses voice recognition

"... uses voice recognition technology to test speaking ability ... "

Funny, but not really for her. What epic fool thought that was a good idea ?

The obvious solution is to grant her the visa, and drop that particular company from the list of accredited language testers. No more money for them ....

What next : computer assisted Vet's Handshake ? :-)

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

... and my other CPU is a Ryzen 5950X :-) Blaise Pascal

Likely programmed to listen for an accent, and hers isn't Australian, or the questions asked use words where people from the UK have a different definition of the word.  Intentionally flawed testing.

April 22 2017 The changes,

April 22 2017

The changes, announced by the Turnbull government on Thursday, would require aspiring citizens to sit an English-language test, prove a commitment to Australian values and live in the country for four years as a permanent resident, instead of one.

Sasha Hampson, the head of English for Pearson Asia Pacific, says the immigration department set the bar very high for people seeking permanent residency.

The days of the £10 assisted passage scheme have long gone. Back then Australia  was crying out for skilled people to go there. These days like many countries, uncontrolled immigration has meant an influx of non English speaking people, that won't or can't integrate into the community. and measures are being taken to deal with it. But this one is just jobsworths and petty officialdom.

Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)

Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now

Well perhaps it is some

Well perhaps it is some consolation to the Irish veterinary that Ireland has just beaten Oz at Rugby.

Next is computer assisted

Next is computer assisted everything. Preferably completely replacing all human jobs by machines. No salaries paid, this wrecking the economy and bringing us back to the dark ages.

Be careful or they will be trying to bring "Universal Basic Income" to everyone in Australia, and it's closest neighbors, too. Essentially it means you sit at home do nothing, or whatever you heart desires, and get a monthly check no matter how much or how little you do! Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerburg both think it's a great idea as it will let people 'be who they want to be' instead of whatever job they can find. Paying for it is still in question I think they will just raise taxes on those working while Bill and Mark think they should cut the Military budget to near zero to pay for it. This is going hand in hand with their idea that robots are putting people out of jobs and you can't make more homeless people.
